HOUSTON – Ask 2: “What do you do when you’re listening to your neighbor constantly running their motorcycle and won’t quit?”
Answer: Since it is the holiday season, it is a great time to spread a little holiday cheer. You could bake some cookies or a pie, bring it to your neighbor, then ask them to keep it down.
This suggestion comes from Law Enforcement Liaison, Katie Alexander. She says calling the police should be your last option.
“Unfortunately, often by the time law enforcement does go out and try to resolve the situation the noise isn’t there anymore or it has stopped. Recommending that someone call law enforcement should always be the last resort. There should always be something prior to. HOA also has mediations sometimes. They can get with them and see what they can do from there,” Alexander stated.
